With over 1,000 individual members, SNAMA represents one of the largest dedicated communities focused on sharing best practices and information on social media and community management. Whether you are from a traditional association, are interested in creating a community of interest or want to create an engagement strategy for your customers, SNAMA is the forum for discussion and learning.

Membership is free and everyone with an interest in social media is welcome!

The members of SNAMA represent a broad range of industries including non-profits to blue-chip companies.  Social professionals are a diverse group which often come from more traditional roles including marketing, technology, customer service and public relations.  Social Professionals (including community managers/champions) are currently one of the fasted growing professions.

Mission:

The mission of the Social Networking and Media Association (SNAMA) is to bring together anyone who has an interest in social networking and social media.  The association is a green association and practices socially responsible principles. 

 

About the Founders:

This association has been created by leading association professionals.  Arguably there is little difference between a more traditional association and a social group.  SNAMA is a great example since it was originally a facebook group and has since morphed into its own website while still offering the more useful social networking tools.
